Exactly what you are signing up for: what each plan costs, when it renews, and how to change or stop it.
Family — a monthly recurring subscription for one household: both parents and all your children.
Co-parenting Family — a monthly recurring subscription for two homes: separate parent logins with only the children you choose to share.
There is currently no annual plan. Family Thrive is billed monthly only.
Prices are localized to your country and are tax-inclusive. Any VAT, GST or sales tax that applies is already included in the price you see, so nothing extra is added on top. The exact amount you will be charged is confirmed at checkout by our payment reseller.
New families get a 7-day free trial of Family Thrive. No card is required for the trial, and starting a trial does not create a paid subscription. You only start a subscription when you choose a plan and complete checkout.
Your subscription renews automatically each month, at the price you signed up on, until you cancel it. There is no minimum term and no fixed commitment period.
Before you pay, the plan, the recurring tax-inclusive price in your own currency, the monthly renewal cycle and how to cancel are all shown to you, and you have to tick an unticked box to confirm you accept them. Nothing renews without that consent.
After checkout you receive a confirmation email with your plan, the amount charged, the renewal date and how to cancel, plus a receipt from our payment reseller. Because Family Thrive is billed monthly only, there is no annual or long-term renewal to remind you about; if we ever add an annual plan we will send a renewal reminder before each charge.
If the price of a plan ever changes, we will tell you by email before it applies to you, with enough notice to cancel first.
You can cancel at any time inside Family Thrive, under "Your plan". Cancelling is as easy as subscribing — it takes the same couple of taps, online, with no phone call, no live chat, no retention interview and no need to email us for permission.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period you have already paid for. Your family keeps full access until that paid-through date, and you are not charged again afterwards.
Changed your mind? Before the cancellation takes effect you can reverse it in the same place, and your subscription simply continues. After it takes effect you can subscribe again whenever you like.
Your family's history is preserved when a subscription ends — nothing is deleted because you cancelled. Cancelling and requesting a refund are two separate things; refunds are covered in our Refund Policy.
Moving from Family to Co-parenting Family takes effect immediately. Paddle calculates any applicable prorated amount for the remainder of your current billing period, and your subscription then continues at the Co-parenting Family price.
Moving from Co-parenting Family down to Family takes effect at your next renewal. You keep Co-parenting Family access for the rest of the period you have already paid for, and there is no mid-period refund for the difference.
If a renewal payment fails, your subscription may move to a past-due state. We will ask you to update your payment method and your family keeps access for a short grace period. If the payment is not resolved, access to paid features is eventually restricted.
When a subscription expires, your family history is not automatically deleted. You can still sign in to export your data, and you can resubscribe at any time and pick up where you left off. Deleting your account and data is always your own choice, in Settings.
A small number of families were approved as Family Thrive testers and hold permanent complimentary access. That access is a thank-you, not a purchase: it is not part of the paid subscription offer described on this page, is not sold, and is unaffected by these subscription terms.
This is an automatic renewal offer. We disclose the renewal terms clearly and immediately before you pay, take your affirmative consent through a box you tick yourself, and let you cancel online in the app at any time — the standards set by California's Automatic Renewal Law, similar state laws and the Restore Online Shoppers' Confidence Act.
Paddle, as Merchant of Record, adds its own consent step at checkout where a state requires one, issues your purchase confirmation and receipt, and sends any advance renewal notice required in your state.
California residents may also cancel by emailing our Family Care Team, and you may report a complaint to the California Department of Consumer Affairs.
You have a statutory 14-day right to withdraw from a distance contract for digital services. Because a monthly subscription is never fully performed part-way through a month, that right is not taken away from you by starting to use Family Thrive: within 14 days of subscribing you may withdraw and receive a refund, reduced only in proportion to the part of the month already supplied. This sits alongside, and does not replace, our 30-day money-back guarantee, which is more generous.
The cancel control inside Family Thrive under "Your plan" is our withdrawal and cancellation function, and it is as easy to use as subscribing was. You can also email the Family Care Team, or contact Paddle, our reseller, who handles order support.
United Kingdom customers: when the subscription provisions of the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024 come into force we will apply their reminder and cooling-off requirements, and update this page.
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
Family Thrive Technologies provides and supports the Family Thrive product itself. Paddle handles payment, invoicing, tax and order support — see Paddle's Buyer Terms.
