Refund Policy

Last updated 21 August 2026

How refunds work for paid Family Thrive subscriptions, who processes them, and how a refund differs from cancelling.

Who processes your payment

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Family Thrive Technologies is the developer and provider of Family Thrive. Paddle is the seller of record for the transaction. That means your order, invoice, tax and any refund are handled by Paddle, not by us directly.

How to request a refund

Refund requests for a Family Thrive subscription are processed through Paddle. Visit paddle.net to look up your order and contact Paddle buyer support, or read Paddle's refund policy.

You are welcome to contact our Family Care Team at familythrivetechnologies@gmail.com first — we will help you with the product side and point you to the right place for the payment side. We cannot return a card payment ourselves: Family Thrive does not process or refund card payments outside Paddle.

Our 30-day money-back guarantee

If Family Thrive isn't right for your family, you can request a full refund of your most recent payment within 30 days of that payment, wherever in the world you are. You don't need to give a reason. Refunds are returned to the original payment method by Paddle, our Merchant of Record, and usually reach you within a few business days depending on your bank.

Your statutory rights

Nothing in this policy limits or waives any statutory or other non-waivable consumer rights you have under the law that applies to you. Those rights always apply in addition to anything set out here.

EEA and United Kingdom: for a digital service bought at a distance you have 14 days to withdraw from the contract without giving a reason. Because Family Thrive starts as soon as you subscribe, you are asked at checkout to ask us to begin during that period. Asking us to begin does not take your withdrawal right away for a monthly subscription — it only means that if you do withdraw we may keep a proportionate amount for the days you actually had access. You lose the right only once the service has been fully performed. In practice we don't need to rely on any of this: our 30-day guarantee above is longer and gives your full most recent payment back.

South Africa: your rights under the Consumer Protection Act and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act are unaffected. Section 44 of the ECT Act gives a seven-day cooling-off right for goods and services bought electronically, subject to the exclusions in section 42, and the Consumer Protection Act gives a five-business-day cooling-off right for direct-marketing sales. Our 30-day guarantee is more generous than both.

Australia, New Zealand and elsewhere: consumer guarantees under your local law apply in addition to this policy and cannot be excluded by it.

Discretionary refunds

Where we are able to support a refund request, we do so through Paddle and in line with Paddle's refund policy as it applies at the time. Any goodwill decision we make cannot override or conflict with that policy, and we do not promise a refund outcome that Paddle has not approved.

Cancelling is not the same as a refund

Cancelling your subscription stops future renewals. It does not, on its own, return a payment you have already made. You can cancel at any time inside Family Thrive — see our Subscription Terms.

When you cancel, your family keeps full access for the rest of the billing period you have already paid for, and you are not charged again after that. If you also want the last payment returned, that is a separate refund request through Paddle.

Free trial

Family Thrive includes a 7-day free trial that does not require a card. If you never start a paid subscription, nothing is charged and there is nothing to refund.

Currency and taxes

Refunds are made in the currency you were charged in. Any VAT, GST or sales tax collected on your order is collected and refunded by Paddle as Merchant of Record, so the amount returned includes the tax you paid. Exchange-rate movements between the payment and the refund are set by your bank or card issuer and are outside our control.
